Agreement

By using Splitsy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

What Splitsy does

Splitsy helps you split bills with friends. It calculates per-person amounts, lets you record who paid what, and helps you send payment requests via SMS. It does not process payments — you and your friends settle directly through your own payment apps (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, etc.) or in cash.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your device secure. Splitsy stores most data locally — anyone with access to your unlocked device has access to your splits.

Acceptable use

Don't use Splitsy to harass, defraud, or send unwanted messages to anyone. Don't scan receipts that aren't yours. Don't scrape or reverse-engineer the app.

Pro subscription

Splitsy Pro unlocks unlimited receipt scans and saved groups. Subscriptions are billed via Apple, auto-renew until cancelled, and are subject to Apple's standard refund policy. Cancel anytime in your iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Receipt accuracy

Scanned receipts are processed by AI and may contain errors. Always review items and prices before splitting. Splitsy is not responsible for incorrect amounts.

Payment links

When you generate a pay-me link, you're responsible for what you ask for. Splitsy does not guarantee that recipients will pay, mediate disputes, or recover funds.

Liability

Splitsy is provided "as is" without warranty. To the extent allowed by law, Five to Nine Labs LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms. You can stop using Splitsy at any time by deleting the app.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
